NTU gets $110M for education initiatives
The university plans to launch three educational initiatives.
Nanyang Technological University has received a combined gift of $110m from UOB and the Wee Foundation to advance the university’s strategic priorities.
With government matching, the gift will create an endowment of up to $275m.
The university plans to launch three educational initiatives that will benefit up to 1,200 NTU students and 1,500 individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds annually.
A signing ceremony was witnessed by Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Education, Goh Swee Chen, NTU Board Chair, Wong Kan Seng, chairman at UOB, and Wee Ee Cheong, deputy chairman and chief executive officer of UOB.
