NTUC LearningHub launches new Green Academy

It offers an implementation-led sustainability training programme with the GRI ASEAN Network for SMEs.

NTUC LearningHub (NTUC LHUB) announced the official launch of the NTUC LHUB Green Academy, a platform aimed at helping navigate the evolving ESG landscape.

The NTUC LHUB Green Academy serves as a platform that brings together over 20 key stakeholders, including training content and industry partners, skills accreditors, and employers in an integrated ecosystem, to champion green jobs and skills essential for sustainability adoption.

It is established with a focus on the practical application of skills in five key pillars: Sustainability Foundation, Sustainability Reporting, Cleaner Energy, Agri-Aqua-Tech with Sustainable Finance.

Also introduced is the NTUC Sustainability Signature Programme (NTUC SSP), Singapore's first implementation-led sustainability training programme co-developed with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) ASEAN Network, for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

The programme is offered under the NTUC LHUB Green Academy to help SMEs identify their ESG goals, integrate sustainability into their operations, and enhance compliance and risk management.

It also aims to build SME capacity to publish a sustainability report, enabling them to meet supply chain requirements, access capital, and fulfill regulatory reporting obligations, strengthening their business resilience and market competitiveness.

As a collaborative learning ecosystem, the NTUC LHUB Green Academy brings together stakeholders with the aim of preparing workers and companies for the green economy.

To drive this, NTUC LHUB signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ten training content and industry partners, and skills accreditors to jointly work on curriculum development and accreditation to ensure the programmes are relevant and industry-recognised.

In addition, NTUC LHUB also signed MoUs with ten employers to drive workforce transformation. Under the MoUs, the employers will partner with NTUC LHUB to identify emerging job roles and skills, commit to upskilling their employees, and promote sustainability awareness.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
