Over two-thirds of S’poreans embrace tech and AI-driven change in the workplace

Technology and AI integration are driving factors for workplace change.

Around 69% of Singapore’s workforce said they feel prepared for the changes their workplace will experience over the next five years, mainly driven by technology and artificial intelligence integration, according to Indeed’s latest global report.

The report revealed that almost half (48%) of workers perceive that technology adoption has a positive effect on productivity.

In terms of confidence, 6 out of 10 respondents feel fairly confident working alongside automation and technology solutions in their current role.

Meanwhile, tasks including data analysis, routine tasks, attention to detail, and unbiased decision-making were said to be performed better by AI compared to people.

The report also mentioned that nearly half (49%) of Singaporeans have upskilled in the past three years to develop longer-term skills, with 43% upskilling in response to business needs.

IT & telecom industries are the sectors in which workers have undertaken upskilling the most.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
