The exercise seeks to uplift disadvantaged seniors’ mental and physical well-being.
The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) deployed 300 volunteers for the Silver Homes exercise to clean public home rental units for seniors in Kampong Glam in preparation for the Chinese New Year.
This exercise follows SAF’s partnership renewal with the Central Singapore Community Development Council (CDC).
Silver Homes aims to uplift the mental and physical well-being of disadvantaged seniors by improving their living conditions.
The exercise includes cleaning, decluttering, painting, replacing selected furniture, and pest treatment.
