Singapore ranked as the second-best city globally for software careers, according to Nsoft.

The report examined metrics such as the number of open roles, average salary, cost of living, and quality of life to identify top cities for software professionals.

Singapore leads in job availability with 13,412 open roles and 2,461 software companies, and ranks high in quality of life and broadband speed (285 Mbps). 

Meanwhile, its average annual software salary was recorded at US$56,787.

San Francisco ranked first, driven by high average salaries of US$137,800 and nearly 7,000 software companies, while Abu Dhabi ranked fifth.
