Specialised roles see strong growth in Singapore job postings: Indeed

Sales and marketing managers posted a 127% growth, whilst AI engineers rose 83%.

Employers are prioritising specialised roles, with sales and marketing managers and machine learning engineers leading job posting growth in Singapore, Indeed reported.

In its report, Indeed said sales and marketing managers saw a 127% increase in job posting growth, whilst machine learning engineers saw an 83% increase.

Completing the top five job postings with the highest growth are resident engineers (+75%), civil engineers (+65%), and assistant cook (+65%).

In addition, jobseekers are also gravitating towards service and support roles, with pet sitters (+260%) and chauffeurs (+184%) experiencing the highest click increases.

Other sought-after roles include sales advisors (+165%), bakery assistants (+156%), and zookeepers (+149%).

“The job market in Singapore is evolving in exciting ways. While there’s a clear demand for specialised roles in AI and tech, it’s fascinating to see how job seekers are increasingly drawn to service roles,” said Saumitra Chand, career expert at Indeed.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
