AI PC adoption in most firms surges 12% above regional average

Five in 10 have deployed AI in their personal computers.

More than five in 10 (54%) Singaporean firms have already deployed artificial intelligence personal computers (AI PCs)—12% higher than the regional average, according to a Dell Technologies report.

This, the report notes, has driven Southeast Asia’s AI PC adoption, along with the adoption of new technologies without legacy constraints, favourable market conditions, and government initiatives.

Across the region, 92% reported higher productivity amongst users, whilst 52% expect the share of workstations in their fleet to grow over the next five years.

Organisations in the region also reported workstation use for data preparation (66%), model fine-tuning (62%), and foundational model training (55%).

On a broader perspective, Asia Pacific (APAC) organisations with over 50% AI PCs in their fleet report saving 2.17 hours per employee per day, reflecting a 30% productivity increase

Moreover, four out of five APAC firms expect AI PCs to drive the adoption of agentic AI, agreeing that they enhance control and security for these applications.

Further, 84% of organisations expect AI PCs to increase employee productivity, whilst 78% cite security benefits and 77% highlight cost advantages of running AI locally.
