CHART OF THE DAY: Singaporeans spent 35% more time on apps compared to 2019

Top apps were Telegram, Whatsapp, and SingPass.

Singaporeans’ time spent on apps grew by 35% in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the first quarter of 2019, according to a Market Pulse Rankings report of data.ai, a mobile app strategy platform.

The ranking also found that compared to the previous quarter, the top five apps by downloads remained the same during the first quarter of 2022. Whatsapp ranked first, followed by Facebook, SingPass, TikTok, and Telegram.

For top apps by consumer spend, TikTok ranked first whilst Disney Plus was at second place. Local online marketplace, Carousell, ranked third.

For top games by downloads, the widely popular Wordle emerged in the first place, followed by Fishdom Deep Dive and Apex Legends.
