Cybersecurity ranks sixth most pressing issue amongst Singaporeans

Singaporeans are concerned about the rise in online scams.

“Cyber Security and Scams” ranked sixth in the most pressing issues that concern Singapore citizens, according to SensingSG.

Over the past quarter, the public’s sense of online insecurity has sharpened.

In the Good Governance Scorecard by SensingSG, satisfaction points for online safety dropped by 11 points to 54%, reflecting the rising concern on the issue.

According to SensingSG’s Media Monitor, the number 1 news story was “Online Scam Cases in Singapore,” garnering more interest than the former Minister Iswaran case.
