Microsoft leads GenAI use in Singapore workplaces
Microsoft Power Apps leads usage at 36.83%, followed by Grammarly at 27.23%, and ChatGPT at 20.95%.
Microsoft Power Apps, Grammarly, and OpenAI’s ChatGPT are the most widely used generative AI tools in Singapore workplaces, according to Palo Alto Networks’ State of Generative AI 2025 report.
Microsoft Power Apps leads usage at 36.83%, followed by Grammarly at 27.23%, and ChatGPT at 20.95%. These tools are increasingly embedded into enterprise workflows for tasks such as automation, content creation, and communication.
Globally, GenAI traffic rose by 890% in 2024, with organisations now managing an average of 66 GenAI applications—10% of which are considered high-risk.
In Singapore, the use of unauthorised or "shadow AI" tools has created new security blind spots, particularly in sectors handling sensitive data or critical infrastructure.
Despite these risks, Singapore is seen as a leader in digital governance. The country was amongst the first to launch a Model AI Governance Framework, recently updated to address GenAI-specific challenges. The government’s National AI Strategy 2.0 outlines plans to support responsible innovation while maintaining public trust and data integrity.
