Most hacked passwords in Singapore are under 10 characters: Preply

“123456” remains the most commonly hacked password, appearing in 42.5 million breaches.

The vast majority of the most commonly hacked passwords in Singapore are short and contain fewer than 10 characters, Preply said.

In a report, Preply said the password “123456” remains the most commonly hacked password, appearing in 42.5 million breaches and crackable in less than one second.

Other common passwords include "123456789", "qwerty", and "password", all of which are highly vulnerable and take under one second to crack.

Meanwhile, country-specific passwords, such as “Singapore,” were compromised 45,757 times, ranking 14th globally among hacked country names.
