Most Singaporeans want proactive AI: survey
18% of respondents have used agentic AI, whilst another 31% plan to do so in the next year.
Singaporeans are showing strong enthusiasm for AI systems that go beyond responding to commands—toward those that take initiative, make decisions, and complete tasks independently.
According to an Adobe report titled “From Assistants to Agents: The AI Evolution in Singapore,” 91% of respondents expressed interest in AI that could handle tasks like booking appointments and placing orders. Another 90% supported the idea of voice assistants that can take action without prompting, and 80% showed willingness to use autonomous vehicles.
The findings, based on a March 2025 survey of over 500 consumers in Singapore, indicate that the country is quickly moving from passive AI use to more proactive engagement. Already, 18% of respondents have used agentic AI, and another 31% plan to do so in the next year.
AI adoption is most visible in sectors like travel (41%), online shopping (37%), and banking (29%), reflecting growing trust in AI to manage more personal and transactional decisions.
