HSBC Life Singapore appoints Ruhil Bairagi as new COO

He has over 20 years of experience in life, health, and general insurance.

HSBC Life Singapore has appointed Ruhil Bairagi as its new Chief Operating Officer, effective 11 August.

Bairagi will report to CEO Harpreet Bindra and will oversee operations and transformation across the insurer’s life, health, and general insurance businesses. 

His mandate includes building a scalable, future-ready operating model aimed at improving customer experience.

He was previously HSBC’s Global head of Insurance Operations and Business Management, based in Hong Kong. 

Bairagi has more than 20 years of international experience in life, health, and general insurance, with a background in operational transformation, contact centre management, and digital enablement. 

Prior to joining HSBC in 2019, he held senior roles at various insurance firms in the Middle East.
