Zurich Insurance Singapore apoints new claims chief

Graves has been with Zurich for eight years.

Zurich Insurance Singapore has appointed Matt Graves as its new chief claims officer.

Graves will report directly to Singapore CEO and head of commercial insurance Asia Liam Burrell.

On top of this, Graves will spearhead all claims functions across Zurich Singapore’s Commercial and newly launched Retail segment. 

Graves has over two decades of experience in the insurance industry spanning roles with Allianz, Suncorp, and Zurich with a particular focus on claims management.

He joined Zurich in 2016 as the Team Leader for the Major Loss Property team (Australia) and most recently led the Short-Tail Lines Claims business for Singapore, overseeing all property, global energy, construction, and marine teams regionally.

In his new role, Graves will join Zurich Singapore’s executive committee.
