Nibertex raises $9.45m in Series A round led by TNB Aura
The investment marks TNB Aura’s first major deployment in the Philippines.
Singapore-based advanced materials company Nibertex has raised $9.45m (US$7m) in a Series A funding round led by Southeast Asian venture capital firm TNB Aura.
The round also saw participation from existing backers including the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Faircrest Holding, and Foxmont Capital Partners.
The investment marks TNB Aura’s first major deployment in the Philippines, where Nibertex plans to expand its manufacturing footprint.
The company said the funds will be used to scale production capacity, accelerate research and development for new membrane applications beyond apparel, and expand go-to-market efforts globally.
Nibertex's products are positioned as alternatives to membranes containing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), which have come under increasing regulatory scrutiny in the United States, Europe, and parts of Asia due to their environmental persistence and potential health risks.
