Oil and gas and utilities only sectors that closed positive in stock market
Amongst top performers are Keppel Corporation and Genting Singapore.
With the fiscal year 2022 coming to an end, there are negative earnings in the sectors at the stock market except oil & gas and utilities were the only sectors that closed positive in February 2023.
CGS-CIMB said in its brokerage report that the top movers are Genting Singapore, Keppel Corporation, and Jardine Cycle & Carriage.
The top losers, however, are CICT, ThaiBev, and City Dev. Under the mid-large caps, Golden Energy and Resources and SBS Transit outperformed.
Challenged tech sector made a blow to UMSH and AEM Holdings, joining EREIT in February’s underperformers.
“Institutional investors were net sellers in January 2023; outflows in Financials, Industrials, and Telcos overshadowed inflows to Consumer Cyclicals. For the same period, retail investors were net buyers, with the bulk of inflows going into Financials, though there were outflows from Industrials and Oil & Gas,” said CGS-CIMB.
