Quantified Energy ends funding round for solar drone tech expansion

The company specialises in drone-based electroluminescence inspection technology for solar PV systems.

Quantified Energy (QE), a solar inspection technology startup, has announced the completion of its Series A funding round.

The funding will be used to further QE’s product innovation and to expand business development activities in key markets. The round was led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India.

The company’s broader goal, according to its founders, is to support scalable, data-driven solutions that improve the management and valuation of solar energy systems

Founded in 2021 as a spin-off from the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS) at the National University of Singapore, QE specialises in drone-based electroluminescence (EL) inspection technology for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.

According to QE, its technology aims to help solar asset owners reduce performance risks and improve system longevity.

The company’s model allows users of DJI M300 or M350 drones to integrate QE’s EL payload on a subscription basis.
