Sabana REIT schedules extraordinary general meeting for requisition notice

Details of the meeting have yet to be finalised.

Sbana Industrial Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) will be holding an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) in line with the Requisition notice from several unitholders of the REIT.

In a disclosure, the Sabana Industrial REIT’s manager said that it has verified the unitholding of requisitionists Sabana Growth Internalization Committee.

Sbana Griwth Internalization Committee submitted a requisition notice in December calling for an EGM to consider 12 resolutions.

Sabana said that date, time and venue of the EGM are yet to be determined, adding that it will issue a notice for the details.

The company has rejected the requisitionist call for a meeting in January, citing non-compliance with the trust deed.

Sabana Industrial REIT trustee, HSBC Institutional Trust Services (Singapore), said in a statement on 9 January that convening an EGM or considering the requisition resolutions will not be beneficial to the progress of the internalisation.

The requisitionists submitted a separate notice on 11 January.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
