Singapore leads in women-led startups with 936 firms

Women-led start-ups raised US$3B in 2023.

Singapore has the most women-led startups in Southeast Asia, with 936 companies, data from Tracxn showed.

Behind Singapore are Jakarta with 173 and Kuala Lumpur with 107.

Women-led startups in Singapore also secured the biggest funding in the region in 2023, raising US$3B across 380 rounds.

Following are Jakarta, with US$935.9m funding through 106 rounds, and Cyberjaya, where women-led startups raised US$86.3m across 10 rounds.

East Ventures, 500 Global and Entrepreneur First were the most active firms in women-led startups in 2023.
