Stamford Land exits Sir Stamford hotel business after divestment

The asset contributed 5.4% of group profit before tax in H1 FY2026.

Stamford Land Corporation Ltd ceased hotel operations at the Sir Stamford at Circular Quay, Sydney, following the handover of the property on 14 November 2025.

The hotel had been divested in FY2023, with no impact on the group’s net tangible assets from the cessation.

The property contributed 5.4% of group profit before tax and 7.6% of revenue in H1 FY2026. Stamford Land will no longer recognise earnings from the hotel after the handover, reflecting a streamlined portfolio focus.

The group confirmed that no directors or substantial shareholders have interests in the cessation beyond their shareholdings. Stamford Land had previously disclosed the divestment in filings between August 2022 and January 2023.

The handover completes Stamford Land’s exit from hotel operations at the Circular Quay property. The group’s earnings profile will now exclude contributions from the asset, reinforcing its strategic repositioning.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
