GS Holdings expands into beverage distribution amidst Octopus (APAC) Holdings rebranding

The move better reflects its current business profile and activities.

GS Holdings Limited has proposed to change its company name to Octopus (APAC) Holdings Limited, subject to shareholders’ approval at an extraordinary general meeting, the company said in a filing.

The company said the proposed name change is intended to better reflect its current business profile and activities following its expansion into beverage distribution, including the acquisition of Octopus Distribution Networks Pte. Ltd. in May 2025.

On 4 February 2026, the group entered into a conditional agreement to sell all its shares in Hawkerway Pte. Ltd., the holding company of its food court and coffee shop subsidiaries, marking a step away from food retail operations.

The company also completed the acquisition of the distribution business of LHA Food & Beverages Pte. Ltd. in September 2025 and announced a proposed acquisition of Dyspatchr Pte. Ltd. in November 2025, further extending its distribution activities.

The proposed name Octopus (APAC) Holdings Limited has been reserved with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore until 29 April 2026 and will take effect upon shareholders’ approval and registration.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
