Which Small Cap Index industrial stocks performed best YTD?

The top stock recorded a 14% gain in the 2024 YTD.

Samudera Shipping Line reported a 14% gain in 2024 year-to-date (YTD), positioning itself as the strongest performer in the FTSE ST Small Cap Index Industrial Stocks. 

In FY23, Samudera Shipping Line reported a robust financial performance, with revenue reaching US$583m, up from US$527m in FY21 and US$348m in FY20. 

The company also reported a higher gross profit of US$108.9 in FY23, 69.4% higher than the previous year.

Seven companies represent the industrial sector in the index, with each reporting an average daily trading turnover (ADT) ranging from $60,000 to $3.0m a day.

Amongst the seven stocks, COSCO SHIPPING International (Singapore) Co has seen a significant increase in its average daily turnover (ADT) this year, with the ADT up fivefold from its 2023 ADT.
