A*STAR launches Smart Manufacturing Joint Lab phase two
It will focus on advanced technologies for aftermarket services, amongst others.
The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Rolls-Royce, and Singapore Aero Engine Services Private Limited have launched phase two of the Smart Manufacturing Joint Lab (SMJL).
Phase two will focus on advanced technologies for aftermarket services, fan blade manufacturing, and manufacturing processes.
In line with this, A*STAR has teamed up with local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to launch three new industry joint labs.
These new collaborations with Abrasive Engineering, Applied Total Control Treatment, and Grand Venture Technology aim to help local companies scale globally through innovation.
The labs are also expected to generate new intellectual property, product lines, and business opportunities for the SMEs, whilst creating high-value jobs.
