Haw Par Corporation sees a rise in net profit by 18.2% YoY in H1 2025

Group revenue also increased by 7% in the same period.

Haw Par Corporation reported a net profit of $144.1m in the first half of 2025 (H1 2025), up by 18.2% year-on-year (YoY).

The group's revenue also rose by 7% to $126.3m, primarily due to the resilient demand for healthcare products.

The gross margin also improved from 54.6% to 56.5%, due to demand shifts of product segments from year to year.

Other income increased 20.3% to $116.8m, due to a higher dividend rate from strategic and long-term investments.

Haw Par's earnings per share stood at 65.1 cents for H1 2025, up from 55.1 cents recorded during the same period a year ago.

An interim dividend of 20 cents per share was declared for H1 2025, unchanged from the year before. The dividend will be paid on 11 September, after the books close on 21 August.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
