MetaOptics files for IPO on SGX Catalist
Proceeds will be used for product development and R&D.
MetaOptics Ltd, a Singapore-based semiconductor optics firm, has submitted its preliminary offer document for an initial public offering (IPO) on the Catalist Board of the Singapore Exchange (SGX-ST).
According to its preliminary offer document, MetaOptics will use IPO proceeds for product development, R&D—including rectangular metalenses—and strategic collaborations. The funds will also support business expansion, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and general corporate purposes.
Founded in 2021, MetaOptics is the first pure-play metalens company to seek a public listing globally. The company develops and manufactures AI-enhanced glass-based metalenses used in smartphones, AR/VR devices, 3D biometrics, LiDAR systems, and other optical products.
The group offers full-stack capabilities—from optical design and nanoscale fabrication to integration and distribution. It produces metalens camera modules, IoT devices, and manufacturing equipment. Its technology enables high-speed optical interconnects critical for scaling telecom infrastructure, with mass-production capability using semiconductor processes.
