NTT DATA, HTX partner to boost AI-driven public safety capabilities

The collaboration will focus on frontline response and digital forensics, among others.

NTT DATA has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with HTX to co-develop AI-driven capabilities for Singapore’s Home Team, to improve frontline operations, digital forensics, and public safety outcomes.

The MoU was formalised at Milipol TechX Summit 2026 in Singapore and signed by Png Kim Meng, executive managing director for Singapore and ASEAN at NTT DATA, and Chan Tsan, chief executive of HTX.

HTX is a statutory board under Singapore’s Ministry of Home Affairs.

The partnership will use advanced technologies to improve incident response times, support faster data-driven decision-making for frontline officers, and strengthen the detection, investigation and prevention of digital crime.

The collaboration covers four strategic areas: advanced networking solutions, cybersecurity and digital forensics, sustainability and green initiatives, and AI-driven operational optimisation.

Under the MoU, NTT DATA and HTX will develop a cloud-based Digital Forensics and Malware Lab to address increasingly sophisticated AI-enabled cyber threats. The partnership will also include training programmes to strengthen investigative capabilities.

The companies will also explore AI and automation solutions to enhance workflows, including fraud detection and pre-payment verification processes.

NTT DATA said the collaboration is expected to support early threat detection, faster and more accurate investigations, improved live-incident response, and shorter investigation turnaround times.

The MoU will also cover sustainable technology adoption and knowledge-sharing to support decarbonisation efforts aligned with MHA’s net-zero roadmap.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
