Jeanette Lim from Chubb Asia Pacific was elected as the president of the institution, with Benjamin Ang from GoalsMapper appointed as the vice president.

Lim takes on the leadership role previously held by Sunny Verma, who is now SII’s Immediate Past President.

The rest of the newly elected council members were:

  • Treasurer: Wina Marita (Matson Driscoll & Damico)
  • Council Members: Jeslyn Tan (Singapore Reinsurers’ Association), Summer Montague (DAC Beachcroft), Tay Si Wei (Berkley Re Asia)

“As we embark on this new chapter together, it is crucial for us to acknowledge the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the insurance industry. Let us seize this opportunity to make a lasting impact in our industry and contribute to the well-being of Singapore's insurance landscape,” SII’s newly elected leader, Lim, said in a statement.

SII is a members’ institution for professionals in insurance and financial services. It is a non-profit organisation governed by a council comprising elected members and co-opted representatives from various sectors of the industry.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
