Tycoon Robert Ng, his 3 children designated politically significant persons under FICA
It is not linked to any allegations of misconduct.
Singapore tycoon Robert Ng Chee Siong and his three children, Daryl Ng Win Kong, Nikki Ng Mien Hua, and David Ng Win Loong have been designated as politically significant persons (PSPs) under the Foreign Interference (Countermeasures) Act 2021 (FICA), the Ministry of Home Affairs said.
The four individuals made the required declarations to the Registry of Foreign and Political Disclosures in 2024, as mandated by section 79 of FICA. This declaration is a legal requirement for Singaporean citizens involved with foreign political entities.
The registrar has assessed their memberships and determined they meet the criteria for PSP designation under section 48(1) of FICA. Notices of Intended Designation were issued to the individuals on 7 April.
The designation is not linked to any allegations of misconduct. As PSPs, the individuals must disclose political donations of $10,000 or more, foreign affiliations, and migration benefits annually to the registrar.
