Autobahn-linked borrowers face bankruptcy, owe DBS over $110m
Autobahn Rent A Car directors were listed in Government Gazette bankruptcy orders tied to DBS exposure.
Bankruptcy orders involving Autobahn Rent A Car-linked individuals were published in the Government Gazette on 17 April under the Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution Act 2018.
Court records show that two directors owe about $54.8m and $59.8m to DBS Bank Ltd. Both were listed in filings published as part of bankruptcy proceedings.
The cases form part of broader proceedings linked to Autobahn Rent A Car, which has been reported to have significant outstanding debts to multiple creditors, including DBS.
The developments come after DBS was reported to have exposure of about $102.6m to Autobahn Rent A Car, according to earlier market estimates cited by CGS International.
CGS International previously said a one-off recognition of the exposure could lead to a rise in credit costs of around 10 basis points in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Recovery actions may still be possible depending on ongoing creditor proceedings, according to the same report.
