Chart of the Day: Guess which sector saw the highest home sales in January

The said region formed 62.5% of the total home sales.

Developers saw an uptick in sales volume for the month of January, up 18.3% to 381 units sold. According to PropNex, properties in the Outside Central Region (OCR) was the most sought after in the said month, accounting for 62.5% of new private home sales with 238 units.

On the other hand, the 110 units sold in Rest of Central (RCR) and the 33 units sold in Core Central Region (CCR) accounted for 28.9% and 8.7%, respectively. This is mainly due to HDB upgraders who are choosing to purchase properties in the OCR. Meanwhile, 75% of units (including ECs) transacted in this month was contributed by the sales of OCR properties.

PropNex CEO, Mr Ismail Gafoor commented, “We are confident the market is stable and can expect greater activities and increased sales in the coming months due to attractive pricing offered by developers.”

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
