Chart of the Day: Home launches in CCR break 2019 record with 525 units in Q4

The collective sales fever from 2017 to 2018 boosted project launches in prime districts.

This chart from EDMUND TIE revealed that Q4 recorded the highest number of uncompleted residential launches in the Core Central Region (CCR) with 525 units. This supported new sales with a total of 402 units being transacted in the region.

In 2019, residential launches in the region skyrocketed 220% to 1,518 units, compared to 475 units in 2018. “The collective sales fever from mid-2017 to 2018 period gave rise to a slew of new projects being launched in prime districts,” the report noted.

On the other hand, the total transaction volume of private homes fell 15.4% QoQ to 4,878 units in Q4.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.
The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.
If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
