Chart of the Day: RCR posts lowest new launches for 2020

This is out of the 9,000 pipeline launches this year.

This chart from EDMUND TIE shows that the Rest of Central Region (RCR) at the city fringe has the least pipeline launch supply this year, with an estimated total of 1,814 units. This is out of the 9,000 pipeline launches wherein more than 5,000 units are of 99-year leasehold tenure.

However, the research notes that there may be a slowdown in new launches as developers may delay the project launches for H1 amidst ongoing uncertainties stemming from the pandemic.

For 2021, more than 1,200 new sale units of pipeline launch supply are estimated to come onboard, barring any unforeseen circumstances for each project on approval process before launch.

Out of which, the bulk, or nearly 800 units, is in the Outside Central Region (OCR) and the remaining is in the Core Central Region (CCR). Irwell Bank Road in the CCR has 445 potential units, whilst Jalan Bunga Rampai, Canberra Drive (Parcel A), and Canberra Drive (Parcel B) all in OCR have 115, 220, 455 units, respectively. There will not be any estimated pipeline launch supply in the RCR in 2021.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
