Chart of the Day: Which region sold the highest number of homes in April?

There are 967 units sold in this region.

Figures released by Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) of Singapore reflected a strong demand in residential homes for the month of March. A total of 1,926 units were transacted in the said period.

According to PropNex, the total number of transactions in the first four months of 2017 has exceeded 50% of that for the whole of 2016.

But which region recorded the most number of uptakes in the said month? This chart from PropNex shows the answer.

According to PropNex, Outside Central Region (OCR) properties were still the most sought after, accounting for 62.2% of new private home sales. For the said month, 967 units in OCR were sold. Meanwhile, the Rest of Central Region realised a 558 sold units, accounting for 35.9% of the total home sales for the month.

Only 30 units were sold in the Core Central Region. This represents 1.9% of the total home uptake in the said month.
