COTD: Landed home prices dip below $2,000 psf in Q2

This was a 0.9% decrease quarter-on-quarter.

The average price for a landed home dipped below $2,000 per square foot in the second quarter of the year after breaching it in the previous quarter, according to a Huttons report.

This was a 0.9% decrease quarter on quarter (QoQ), but prices rose 3.9% year on year (YoY).

The report said the higher average land size of landed homes transacted during the period may have led to the dip.

The average land size of detached homes sold was 7,219 sq ft, leading to a fall of 10.5% in average price to $1,697 psf.

The most popular districts for landed homes amongst buyers were 15, 16, 19, 20 and 28.
