Singapore developers sold the most homes in 10 months in May, helped by the successful marketing of new projects as prices have been declining since September 2013. Developers sold 1,056 units last month, compared with a revised 748 in April, according to data released Wednesday by the Urban Redevelopment Authority. Two weeks after United Airlines began the only nonstop flight from the U.S. to Singapore, departing from San Francisco, the city-state’s hometown carrier is responding with competing service. Singapore Airlines Ltd. will start a daily nonstop flight from Singapore to San Francisco on Oct. 23 using new Airbus A350-900 aircraft, the airline said Wednesday. Singapore Airlines has firm orders for 67 of the jets and received its first in March. Read more here.
