HDB rental volume grew 15.3% in January

Rental prices were 3% cheaper than last year.

The Singapore Real Exchange (SRX) reported that HDB rental volume rose by 15.3% MoM to 1,800 rented units in January, from 1,561 units rented in December last year.

On a yearly basis, HDB rental volume grew by 16.7%.

Further, HDB rental prices decreased by 0.2% MoM in January, with HDB 5 Rooms and HDB Executives falling by 0.1% and 2.4%, respectively. Only HDB 4 Rooms increased by 0.2%, whilst HDB 3 Rooms remained the same.

According to SRX, rents in mature estates inched down by 0.6%, whilst non-mature estates increased by 0.3%.
