HDB rents rise 1.8% MoM in October

By room type, Executive saw the highest rent increase.

HDB rents rose by 1.8% MoM and  26.6% YoY in October.

Data from 99.co and SRX showed that rents climbed in both the mature and non-mature estates, and across all room types except 3 Room where rents declined by 1.0% MoM.

For mature and non-mature estates, rents increased by 1.6% MoM and 2.1% MoM, respectively. 

By room type, the increases were 4.4% MoM for 4 Room, 0.3% MoM for 5 Room, and 6.1% MoM for Executive.

Volumes likewise increased in October, increasing 10.3% MoM to 1,995 HDB flats.

The volume was also 7.5% higher than October 2021 and 6.0% above the five-year average volume for October.

Of the total volume, 35.1% was from 3 Room, 37.4% from 4 Room, 21.7% from 5 Room and 5.8% from Executive.
