HDB resale prices down 0.7% in September

Resale volumes were down to 1,996 from 2,078 flats sold in August.

Housing and Development Board (HDB) flat resale prices dipped 0.7% MoM in September, SRX Property revealed. HDB Executive saw the largest price decrease of 1.9%.

Both HDB 3 rooms and 5 rooms recorded a price slip of 1.3%. The firm noted that prices in both mature and non-mature estates decreased 1.2% and 0.3%, respectively compared to August prices.

In September, HDB resale prices fell 2.1% YoY, SRX Property. Said prices slipped 14.2% compared to the peak in April 2013.

Both mature and non-mature estates saw a YoY price decrease of 3.7% and 0.9%, respectively whilst monthly change in index value inched up 0.1 ppt to 0.1%.

SRX property noted that resale volumes dipped 3.9% MoM to 1,996 HDB resale flats sold in September from 2,078 in August.
