HDB resale volume hits record high in April while prices stay flat

Over 1,800 resale flats were transacted.

The resale market for public flats sizzled in April, with transaction volume hitting a record high since the implementation of cooling measures in 2013.

Data from SRX Property show that a total of 1,828 resale units were transacted during the month, a 10.3% increase compared to 1,657 units sold in March.

Meanwhile, resale prices of HDB flats stayed broadly unchanged in April, with overall resale prices inched down by 0.1% on a month-on-month basis.

The resale prices of HDB 3 Rooms and Executive Flats increased by 0.6% and 0.1% respectively.

On the other hand, the resale prices of HDB 4 Room Flats remained the same while HDB 5 Rooms resale prices decreased by 0.9%. Prices have remained relatively flat for the past year since April 2015.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
