HDB resales grew 0.1% in August

Prices have decreased 0.7% within a year.

Housing Development Board (HDB) resale prices inched up 0.1% in August compared to that of July 2017.

According to the Singapore Real Estate Exchange (SRX), the resale prices of HDB 4 Rooms, HDB 5 Rooms, and HDB Executive increased by 0.4%, 0.2%, and 0.4% respectively, whilst HDB 3 Rooms decreased by 0.4%.

On a yearly basis, prices slipped 0.7% from last year. Prices have declined 12.1% since the peak in April 2013.

HDB resale prices in mature estates remained unchanged and non-mature estates increased by 0.3%.

On a yearly basis, prices in mature estates have decreased by 0.2%, whilst prices in non-mature estates also slipped by 1.1%.

Resales volume of HDB flats increased 9.6% from 1,785 in July to 1,957 in August.

On a yearly basis, resale volume rose by 3% from the 1,900 units sold last year.

However, resales volume have significantly dropped by 46.4% since the peak seven years ago in May 2010 with 3,649 units.
