Hitachi to supply 450 lifts for Singapore high-rise residential projects

The project will run from 2027 to 2029.

Hitachi Elevator Asia Pte. Ltd. has secured a contract from the Housing and Development Board (HDB) to supply and install 450 lifts for high-rise residential projects in Singapore.

The project, scheduled from 2027 to 2029, marks Hitachi's largest lift order in Singapore, surpassing the previous record of 300 units.

By providing the lifts with the latest technology, we aim to ensure safety, security, and comfort for everyone and look forward to serving and supporting more Singaporeans in the years ahead,” said Siew Yat Hung, managing director of Hitachi Elevator Asia.

With this project, Hitachi Elevator Asia aims to maintain its position amongst the top three providers of newly installed lifts in Singapore for the fiscal year 2024.

The company said it plans to leverage its digital, green, and innovative technologies to enhance urban living and contribute to a sustainable society.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
