Private rental volume down 7% in December

Rents remained flat last month.

Fewer private condominiums were rented in December, according to data released by SRX Property.

Some 3,093 units were rented during the last month of the year, representing a 7% decrease from 3,325 units in November. On a year-on-year basis, however, rental volume jumped 6.4%.

Private rents were flat on a month-on-month basis in December. Rents in the Core Central Region and the Outside Central Region (OCR) rose marginally, while Rest of Central Region (RCR) rents declined. On a year-on-year basis, rents declined 5.4%.
