Private resale condo prices rose 0.7% in August

Sales volume increased by 19.2%.

Resale prices of residential condos rose by 0.7% MoM in August.

According to the Singapore Real Estate Exchange (SRX), both prices in Core Central Region (CCR) and Outside Central Region (OCR) recorded increases of 0.2% and 1.6% respectively, while RCR price index has remained unchanged.

On a YoY basis, prices increased by 3.2%. In individual sectors, CCR, RCR, and OCR prices all rose by 4.9%, 5%, and 1.1%, respectively.

The prices in August were down from the 4.3% peak in January 2014.

Meanwhile, resale volume also increased by 19.2%, making the number of Non-landed Private Residential units to 1,273.

On a YoY basis, the resale volume surged 50.8% from 844 units sold last year.

However, resale volume is still down by 37.9% from the peak of 2,050 units resold in April 2010.
