FairPrice locks prices on 300 items as disruptions bite
More household essentials kept stable as the price freeze widens.
FairPrice Group (FPG) has expanded its price freeze initiative to more than 300 daily essentials in partnership with over 30 food and grocery suppliers, up from an initial 100 items, extending price controls until 31 May 2026.
The group said in a press release that the initiative responds to supply chain disruptions linked to the situation in the Middle East.
The expanded list includes household products such as Nestlé cereal and coffee mix, TSK Foods Kang Kang packaged noodles, Lee Kum Kee sauces and condiments, Colgate toothpaste, and Head & Shoulders shampoo.
FPG has also increased discounts for CHAS Blue and Orange cardholders from 3% to 6% and waived the $3.99 online delivery fee for both groups.
CHAS Blue cardholders will receive discounts on Thursdays until 28 May 2026, whilst CHAS Orange cardholders will receive them on Fridays until 29 May 2026, with the FairPrice Foundation funding the measures.
The group said it uses MyInfo integration in its app to apply discounts at checkout, with around 900,000 Link members having updated their profiles to enable automatic application of CHAS and senior discounts.
