Retail sales dip 1.2% in June
Total retail sales in June were estimated at $4.0b.
Singapore’s retail sales fell 1.2% in June 2025 from the previous month on a seasonally adjusted basis, according to data released by the Department of Statistics on Monday.
Excluding motor vehicles, retail sales declined 1.4%—marking the second straight monthly drop in core retail activity.
In June, sales of computer & telecommunications equipment plunged 5.1% MoM, whilst supermarkets & hypermarkets dropped 3.8%, and minimarts fell 4.1%.
Only a few categories showed gains. Department stores saw a 3.7% rise in sales, whilst watches & jewellery were up 3.0% over the month.
Total retail sales in June were estimated at $4.0b, with online sales accounting for 13.6% of that figure.
