MPA, Port of Antwerp-Bruges ink MOU on maritime decarbonisation

The partners will explore joint decarbonisation and digitalisation efforts.

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Port of Antwerp-Bruges to collaborate on maritime decarbonisation and digitalisation.

The agreement will establish a framework for both parties to exchange information and explore joint initiatives in these key areas.

The MOU was signed by Jacques Vandermeiren, CEO of the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, and Teo Eng Dih, chief executive of MPA, on 25 March during Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam’s State visit to Belgium.

“Collaboration and knowledge exchange will be key to driving innovation and achieving sustainability in the sector, and we look forward to the strengthened partnership with the Port of Antwerp-Bruges to create a more sustainable, efficient, and secure maritime future,” Teo said.
