Probe on Sembmarine subsidiary linked to Brazil’s Operation Car Wash

The company also clarified that there are no administrative charges filed against them.

Sembcorp Marine clarified that the preliminary administrative proceedings launched by the Brazilian Comptroller General of the Union (CGU) against its subsidiary, Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA), are linked to a large-scale corruption investigation in Brazil.

“The proceedings relate generally to past conduct investigated by the Brazilian authorities in
connection with Operation Car Wash,” Sembcorp said.

Meanwhile, Sembcorp clarified that the CGU did not file civil or administrative charges against them and its subsidiaries and added it would continue cooperating with the Brazilian authorities.
