Singapore port container throughput soars to 16.90 million TEUs in 5M 2024

Container volumes handled in Singapore for the period increased by 7.7% YoY.

Major container lines, including CMA CGM and ONE, have moved more container volumes through Singapore in 5M 2024, compared to 5M 2023, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) said.

The total container volumes handled in Singapore in 5M 2024 reached 16.90 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), reflecting a 7.7% year-on-year (YoY) increase in container volumes from 5M 2023.

Container lines continue to work closely with PSA, MPA, the Ministry of Transport, and the unions, to grow their container volumes through Singapore.
