Uni-Asia rebounds in H1
However, the group’s charter income saw a 25% decrease to $15m.
Uni-Asia Group Limited rebounded with a $1.1m (US$0.9m) net profit attributable to owners in the first half of the year after a net loss in H1 2024.
However, the group’s charter income saw a 25% decrease to $15m (US$11.9m) due to the disposal of older vessels and the unexpected collision of the M/V Glengyle on 25 April 2025.
This was partially offset by a marginal improvement in the average daily charter rate, which rose to $13,980 (US$10,840) per day.
Meanwhile, fee income rose by 8% to $2.5m (US$2m), driven by higher arrangement and agency fees from new property deals in Japan and a one-off ship brokerage commission.
