Venterra deepens hold on APAC’s offshore energy with expanded Singapore facility

The new facility adds office, storage, and testing space for 14 specialists at Venterra.

Venterra, the offshore wind services group, has opened an expanded Oceanscan facility in Singapore to support offshore energy projects in the Asia Pacific region. The facility includes office, storage, testing, and mobilisation space.

Oceanscan, acquired by Venterra in 2024, provides subsea and non‑destructive testing (NDT) and inspection equipment, geotechnical services, and specialist personnel.

The Singapore site mirrors the capabilities of Oceanscan’s Aberdeen headquarters and is staffed by 14 specialists, according to Venterra.

The expansion follows Oceanscan Group’s reported growth in 2025, including 54% growth in subsea rental revenue and 33% growth in Asia Pacific (Singapore), as well as 30% growth in the Americas (Houston), Venterra stated.

“Holding a greater proportion of our rental fleet closer to where it’s needed improves availability and reduces mobilisation time, while our growing team ensures we can continue to deliver safe, efficient and high‑quality solutions.”, said Derek Donaldson, CEO of Oceanscan.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

The people you want to reach are already in this room.

Every quarter, SBR lands on the desks of the founders, CFOs, and directors running Asia's most consequential companies. Every day, they open our newsletter and read our website. It's a room that took twenty years to build — and it's the one most of our partners are trying to get into.

The good news is that the door is open. We work with companies on thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The shape of the right partnership depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If you have something this room should know about, tell us. We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.
